Abstract

Nowadays, open system architecture has been widely accepted by the avionics industry for the reason that it can effectively reduce the costs and shorten the time in avionic system's development. This paper proposes a data system for software development in open avionics systems. The data system is built on a unified data model. Moreover, data system consists of four part, i.e., a portable component that provides operational data for the database, a data extraction based on the XML file, a database for storing metadata and operational data, and a frontend service that provides interactive user-interfaces and data downloads. Finally, the testing result shows that data system is workable and effective.
