Abstract

Unbalanced energy consumption in heterogeneous wireless sensor networks (HWSNs) results in the “energy-hole” problem. In this paper, a novel Energy-Balanced Unequal Clustering Protocol (EBUCP) is proposed to address the energy-hole problem.
