Analysis on the Restoration Project and Revitalization Design of Macau Varanda Building : ——Take the Patane Library as an example

Abstract

This article starts with the research of Patane Library in Macau Peninsula, which has been successfully restored and revitalized. The characteristics of Macau varanda buildings are discussed from its evolution, comparison before and after project restoration, and difficulties in restoration design. In the end, it summarized the ideas of revitalization, and provided some references for the subsequent restoration and design of varanda buildings in Macau and even South China.
