Abstract

We introduce a novel system for collecting near-field scattering data. The system utilizes a combination of rectangular waveguides and printed-circuit-boards, consisting of several field collection slots. Data collection is based on the modulated scattering technique. A prototype system using four waveguides was fabricated and tested in both air and water. Simulation and measurement results show that the system can detect field changes at the slot locations.
