Abstract

For multi-color LED lighting applications, a negative single-input/multi-output (SIMO) driver is proposed in this paper. Due to the SIMO topology, the proposed driver offers multiple negative outputs in order to reduce the number of required drivers in the multi-color lighting system. Furthermore, the proposed driver can achieve not only larger number of conversion ratios but also wider output range, because the proposed SIMO driver realizes negative conversion ratios of the Fibonacci sequence. The effectiveness of the proposed driver is confirmed by simulation program with integrated circuit emphasis (SPICE) simulations and experiments.
