Paleolithic Research in China, 1980–1984

Abstract

On December 2, 1929, Mr. Pei Wenzhong excavated the first complete skull of Sinanthropus pekinenesis in the "Lower Cave" of Locality No. 1 at Zhoukoudian, thereby writing a new chapter in the history of the research project at Zhoukoudian and also a new chapter in the history of paleoanthropological studies.
