Abstract

This paper proposes a new algorithm, which is an extension of Direct Position Determination (DPD), for passive radar system to estimate both position and velocity in a multipath scenario. The proposed method is based on the maximum likelihood theory and the cost function is derived in this paper. The simulation shows that the proposed algorithm is effective since it can attain to Cramer-Rao Lower Bound (CRLB)at a moderate signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).
