Abstract
This paper presents simulation analysis of 400 kWp grid connected roof top solar plant for Swami Keshvanand Institute of Technology, Management & Gramothan, Jaipur using PVsyst. The performance of this system is analyzed to examine energy injected during each month of a year into the grid, performance ratio, normalized productions, daily output energy and CO2 emission respectively. Moreover, number and configuration of photo-voltaic (PV) modules and number of inverter required for this project are also evaluated using PVsyst software. Finally, exhaustive analysis of different losses incurred in the system is presented using arrow loss diagram. Simulation results obtained from PVsyst software shows that energy injected into grid is 811 MWh/year, performance ratio is 82.09% and specific production is 1690 kWh/kWp/year respectively.
