Abstract

We propose and analyze a scheme for wireless channels, which is a combination of a hybrid type I automatic repeat request (ARQ) scheme and a power ramping. In the hybrid type I ARQ scheme, the same redundancy bits for error correction is transmitted repeatedly when a negative acknowledgment (NAK) is obtained.
