Abstract

In order to reduce the false alarm of the automobile anti-collision radar to the vehicles in adjacent lane, the automobile anti-collision radar is required to have a high angle resolution. Hyper beamforming(HBF) can reduce main beam width and suppress sidelobe level simultaneously compared to conventional beamforming(CBF). This paper uses MATLAB to analyze and compare the performance of HBF and CBF. HBF has a high angle resolution. Combine HBF with LFMCW anti-collision radar to distinguish the target, which can reduce radar false alarm rate and improve the ability of multi-target recognition.
