In engineering, the electrostatic field is generally applied to substitute the transient electric field which could not accurately describe the electric field distribution characteristics under VFTO. In this article, the high-frequency characteristics of the medium are considered in the process of establishing the transient electric field calculation model. The calculation results show that the maximum field strength of key position on the surface area of the basin insulator are higher than that of electrostatic field calculation method. Abstract
