Abstract
We have performed finite element method (FEM) analysis of surface plasmon polariton (SPPs) propagation and combination in Y-shaped metallic channels junctions. The analysis result shows that the behaviour of SPPs in metallic nano-size channels is similar of that of light propagation in conventional waveguide. The SPPs can also be combined in appropriately designed structures to enhance its propagation efficiency. Numerical simulation of one, three, seven and fifty Y's-shaped metallic channels junctions examples are performed taking into account loss associated with metal absorption.
