Abstract
Quality of service is a buzz idea in the contemporary communication world where the most challenging network setting is a union of heterogeneous architectures. As the expanding network facilities of many service providers span a diversity of network technology, versatile QoS model would be established to become a sought-after solution. In this article we present a particular case of a QoS-aware platform design intended for the scenarios where user applications run as an integral part of a distributed Information System. While the realization is at work in progress stage, the initial implementation results have shown that the concept can be translated into a working system. Putting QoS at the forefront of design has encouraged to review some network mechanisms and revealed specific mathematical challenges. The early research results have illustrated that the proposed framework can be constructed and made usable.
