Abstract

Frequency and polarization reconfigurable patch antenna design with varactor diode and branch line coupler feed network is presented. The frequency tuning, achieved tunable impedance bandwidth from 2.34 GHz to 2.68GHz by varying the four varactor diode capacitance value between 12.33pF to 1.30pF and circular polarization using dual probe feed method. Then additional BLC feed network is used to control simultaneously both frequency tunability from 2.05 GHz to 3.13GHz and polarization which is used for S-Band application.
