The antenna consists of an arm and patch on the top side and ground plane on the bottom side. By using octagonal patch antenna, large efficiency performance can be achieved. The large bandwidth can be realized by controlling the antenna size. Design and analysis of the proposed antenna for 0.1 - 5GHz are discussed. In experimental, VSWR of less than 2 can be obtained for the large operational frequency.
