Stabilization in acromioclavicular disruption.

Abstract

A general review of the anatomic and pathologic aspects of this type of injury as well as the various methods of classification and modes of treatment is presented, and the clinical and radiologic findings are discussed for a series of 24 patients treated by Mersilene stabilization. Advantages over previously used modes are discussed, and conclusions drawn regarding indications for the procedure.
