The experimental data of the fabricated prototype in terms of the reflection coefficient, show good agreement with the simulated results. The proposed design shows good radiation characteristics of average gain 6.5 dBi over the entire operating band. Abstract

A compact millimeter-wave (mm-wave) microstrip antenna with a simple construction is presented in this paper. A defected ground plane with a rectangular radiating patch fed by a microstrip-line is manipulated to operate in the unlicensed V-band.
