SOR Weighting Factor Optimization of AC Systems and Electrical Circuits

Abstract

This paper presents the solution of 2 engineering problems, namely, AC systems and large electrical circuits, through representing them as linear systems of equations (LSEs) and solving them numerically, in an iterative manner. The proposed technique aims at finding the optimum weighting factors, A, that would accelerate the convergence of the successive over relaxation (SOR).
