Abstract

According to the requirement of the localization of IEEE 1394 interface chip, the function of IEEE 1394 link layer is analyzed. Based on the isochronous transmission mode, the system structure, module division and data transmission process of IEEE 1394 link layer controller are designed. The logic process design of memory module, cyclic timer module, receiver module and cyclic monitor module in the system is carried out through the state machine. After the controller is comprehensively described through the hardware description language, the software simulation and system debugging function verification are carried out. The verification results show that the IEEE1394 transmission mode link layer controller is stable and can complete high-speed data transmission.
