Abstract

The authors have designed a noise suppressor with an amorphous saturable reactor connected in parallel with a diode and a small linear inductor, for use in high-frequency switched-mode converters. Operation and advantages of the circuit are described in detail, using a 500 KHz forward converter as an example.
