Abstract
Magnetic field sensor with very simple normal light incident geometry was developed using bi-layer nickel-based subwavelength periodic structure. Peaks in refraction spectra from the fabricated nickel-subwavelength structure shifted considerably with increasing external magnetic field, owing to phase variation of eigenmode within the periodic structure for the field.
