Abstract
A high frequency (HF) electrical model for low voltage multipole DC motors is derived from their geometric and physical properties. It provides sufficient detail to simulate the motor’s complex impedance up to a frequency of approximately 1 GHz. In addition, it provides expressions to calculate the elements of the model from construction parameters, and illustrates their influence on the impedance.
