Abstract
An aperture-coupled dual-polarized wideband microstrip antenna with high port-to-port isolation in C-Band is presented in this paper. The proposed antenna contains reflector, substrate, patch and director. By means of four shorting pins the bandwidth increases noticeably. It has 50% bandwidth of -10dB return loss at the 5.25GHz center frequency, and minimum 31.5dB isolation across the band. The reflector helps to improve Front to Back (F/B) ratio of better than 20dB. Moreover, it has a peak gain of 9.2dBi. The structure of the antenna is compact and easy to fabricate. Therefore, it's a suitable candidate for arrays, and could be used in base stations for Wi-Fi applications.
