Abstract

In this paper, a cascaded PWM five level inverter used as DSTATCOM. The multilevel inverter has capabilities to suppress low harmonics distortion with reduced switching losses. And also compensate the reactive current of nonlinear load. The DSTATCOM control strategy is based on neural network (least mean square (LMS)).
