Abstract
Renewable energies designate the assortment of devices, with the aim of producing energy from inexhaustible sources (sun, wind) or quickly replenishable sources (water), while offering ecological advantages. Solar energy offers, in addition to the advantages of other energies, its own benefits: easy to install, requires very little maintenance, adaptable to situations in all regions; and above all, it can be easily combined with intelligent software solutions, which makes it reliable and less expensive. On the other hand, the transmission lines are subject to several constraints which cause a multitude of faults, in particular short circuit faults, the latter represents 90% of the faults in the transmission lines and generates serious problems on the electrical equipments and the proper functioning of the network. Thus, the objective of this paper is the simulation of a real high voltage transmission line with PV energy source (configured according to Algerian standards), to generate short circuit faults. This work aims to develop a database for further work, involving: detection, discrimination and location of short-circuit faults in distribution lines. The study was carried out under the Simulink Matlab environment, and the signals obtained are identical to the real signals, and can thus be used in subsequent applications.
