Measurements of hard coal dilatometric parameters during the coking process in the laboratory equipment.

Abstract

Measurements of the expansion pressure of the hard coal during the coking process in the laboratory conditions are affected by many factors, both in terms of sample parameters and measurement methodology. Because of the common mechanism of the pressure expansion and sample volume changes during coking, it is possible to estimate the intensity of the phenomenon by means of dilatometric measurements. This paper describes a method and system for performing dilatometric measurements in an SKW-3 Karbolab coke sample preparation machine.
