Abstract

Good teachers want their students to lead caring, responsible, and successful lives. One of the hallmarks of a successful life is academic success. Hard work is one key to success, academic or otherwise. The ability of students to do quality work depends upon their abilities, motivation, effort, and environment. What follows is a new model of academic achievement based on several psychologically sound strategies that teachers can use to help promote academic success among students.
