Abstract

An itinerant agent is an agent (object) which can roam the Internet in a secure way and which does useful work for the user. The framework allows the agent and the agent's location to mutually authenticate each other. The developed agent infrastructure provides a way to a survivable intelligent agent that can relieve the agent's owner from worrying about illegal access to distributed databases. This infrastructure provides a general-purpose framework that is usable on the Internet. This agent framework incorporates security measures on both the agent and the agent's location.
