Abstract
. The obtaining of the nanofibrilated cellulose can be through mechanical, chemical or enzymatic processes. And they have good properties, such as: low thermal expansion, high mechanical resistance and a fiber with greater rigidity. This work aims to study a cellulose nanofibrilate obtained by the mechanical defibrillation process, using the Masuko mill as equipment. Analyze the influence of their application on paper production, by comparing the mechanical properties, such as the tensile strength, tear and burst index. Bleached cellulosic fiber and delignified cellulose from Eucalyptus sp., And the Super Masscolloider Masuko Sangyo mill were used to obtain CNF. There was too much nanofibrilated cellulose with diameters less than 100 nm and found that the number of passes does not influence their average diameter. When adding delignified nanofibrilated cellulose from Eucalyptus sp. in the quantities of 2 and 9% it was verified that it acted positively in the mechanical properties of the paper, thus, it can be said that the nanofibrilated cellulose is a potential additive in their production. It is important to highlight that in the short fiber papers the addition of CNF was the one that presented the best results.
