Abstract

Abnormal Voltages in electrical distribution system is a threat to power system security and may cause equipment damages. Proper distribution of loads will aid in the improvement of voltage profile of the system. This paper presents a novel meta heuristic method based on binary particle swarm optimization (BPSO) to find the best radial distribution network configuration with minimum node voltage deviation.
