The results of computer simulation at various values of the quality factor, inductance and capacitance of the regulator are presented. Abstract

The paper discusses the operation of the boost DC-DC converter in sliding mode control. Brief information about the sliding mode control is given, its advantages and disadvantages are noted. The features of the operation of the boost DC-DC converter in the sliding mode are considered. The analysis of the converter’s operation with an abrupt change in the input voltage is carried out. The influence of the circuit quality factor (Q-factor) on the values of overshoot in the output voltage and inductor current is shown. The results of computer simulation at various values of the quality factor, inductance and capacitance of the regulator are presented. Recommendations are given for selecting the parameters of the boost DC-DC converter to achieve the best results in the sliding mode control.
