Abstract

A new design of high-voltage pulse generator which working at pulse repetition rates in diapason $1\div 10\ \text{kHz}$ is proposed. Pulse generator ensure maximal values of pulses $150\div 200\ \text{kV}$ with rise time about $20\div 40$ nanoseconds and storage energy per pulse up to $5\div 8\ \mathrm{J}$. Such parameters were achieved by combination of two cascade Marx generator with low inductance pulse transformer. Application this pulse generator to excitation of super-atmospheric pressure CO2 laser demonstrated its reliability at the pulse repetition rates up to 5 kHz at total pressures of CO2:N2:He mixtures $1\div 5\ \text{atm}$.
