Abstract

In the most of industrial applications, reliability of power electronics system is very important. Developing a remedial strategy to insure the continuity of the application when fault occurs is necessary. In this paper, a fault tolerant DTC strategy for induction machine 3 level NPC drives is proposed. With this control, after a power switch breakdown, continuity of service of the induction machine is insured. Simulation results prove the good performances of the proposed strategy for the machine variables (flux and torque) and for the converter power module ratings.
