Abstract

This article presents the processes performed to obtain a medical image in three dimensions (3D), reconstructed from a stack of 2D medical images, acquired through a computerized axial tomography (CAT). Additionally, it is described the integration of a haptic tool within the developed system for the interaction and manipulation of the 3D virtual solid, generated in the application developed in this work, by a user who operates this tool (Phantom Omni).
