Abstract

This paper tries to clarify the causes of unusual plasma emission. Unusual plasma emission is required to be predicted because a bright flash often observed inside of the machine may cause a failure of a superconducting plasma confinement device. The causes of unusual plasma emission are tried to be identified by taking the differences of the positive and the negative support vectors, which are used in the estimation through Support Vector Machine (SVM). This paper experimentally shows that the portion of unusual plasma emission can be identified.
