The role of libraries in ecological activities. The practical experience of Banská Bystrica State Scientific Library

Abstract

The author demonstrates what and how the Library can do to change and develop the environment and speculates whether the Library is ready or capable to provide ecological education. The examples are given; prospects and conditions for improving the quality of the Library’s working environment are defined. The Library strives to improve comfort for its users and visitors; interesting concepts for beneficial investments are suggested
