Abstract

Previous research has shown the collaboration method of pair programming (PP) can increase student pass rates and intentions to learn computer science (CS). However, results in previous K-12 studies show PP can create inequitable learning. Therefore, I plan to investigate which collaboration modes, specifically, Divvy up and Puzzle, help promote equitable learning environments and collaborative behaviors, especially for girls, in secondary CS education.
