Abstract

RF seeker is used in terminal guidance of interceptor missiles. Seeker test data in HWILS (Hardware in loop simulation) runs and flight test data has shown a misalignment between (a) RF seeker mechanical axis and electrical axis (b) Between IMU and RF seeker. These misalignments if not compensated will result in higher miss distances during end game. Hence they are required to be measured & compensated to achieve ‘hit to kill’ situation.
