Abstract
in this paper, an ancient inspired algorithm called Giza Pyramid Construction (GPC) is used to extract the five unknown parameters in the one diode model of a PV module. The conducted investigation on the accuracy to extract the five parameters shows that GPC algorithm gives good convergence rate toward the global minimum. The obtained parameters from GPC approach are used to plot the predicted IV and PV curves characteristic and compared with the measured IV and PV curves. These extracted parameters are used to predict the dynamic evolution of the voltage and current at the maximum power point and the findings agree with the measured quantities.
