The Effect of Positive and Negative Switching Barriers on Switching Intention in Mobile Phone Services

Abstract

This study used partial least squares to assess the component-based structural equation model. The results show that the tactics of service providers, such as special treatment and punitive contracts, determine customers perception of switching barriers, which is related to switching intention. Policy regulators are suggested to redress unreasonable contractual obligations to reduce customers requests for third-party mediation.
