Abstract
A Solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) represents an uncommon spindle cell neoplasm of mesenchymal origin, usually occurring in the pleura but also described in various extrapleural sites. Malignant SFT of the kidney is extremely rare. We present the case of an 82-year-old man who originally presented with intermittent gross hematuria which was initially attributed to upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma.
