Abstract

An Internet interactive music station (IMS) is presented. The IMS system is a personal audio multicast transmission system and provides an interactive environment over the Internet. The IMS server site plays the DJ role and can multicast the DJ's voice and MP3 music to multiple clients. The IMS client site plays the audience role and can receive audio and MP3 music from the IMS server. Additionally, the IMS provides two features using the real time multimedia interaction technique.
