The work of duplication is of great importance to the state of Santa Catarina as it is a connecting road between the west, plateau and coast and also one of the main access roads to the port of Itajaí and Navegantes Airport. The landfill studied was carried out on a soft clay deposit approximately 18 m thick, interspersed with layers and sand lenses, where geotechnical solutions for acceleration of the settlements were used, composed of geodrain combined with temporary overload and solutions to ensure stability, like geogrids, berm and step construction. In the execution phase and after construction, the landfills were monitored by repression plates for the evaluation of vertical deformations, and by inclinometers and piezometers to evaluate lateral deformations and excess poropression. Subsequent to the elaboration of the characteristic geotechnical profile of the studied deposit, predictions of the repression were made by the classical theory and by numerical methods, using the PLAXIS software, where good convergence on the values of repression and the stabilization times of the vertical deformations was obtained.
