Abstract
In this paper, we describe the vision of addressing research challenges for the understanding of well-being, aging, and health needs of older adults related to intelligent assistance systems use. We rely on the complex and interdisciplinary research project SMART-AGE and its ambition to apply crowd- based requirements engineering (crowd-RE) tailored to the needs of older adults. We describe the general structure of the project and the planned crowd-RE process. We discuss how the crowd-RE process is tailored to the individual needs of older adults and how we address the challenges in this area. We close with a discussion of remaining challenges.
