This paper aims to discuss some existing decoupling methods to design decoupled controllers for 2×2 MIMO processes with multiple time delays. The controller for a 2×2 MIMO systems can be designed by effective decoupling between individual SISO loops. Different decoupling methods that are available in the literature are considered and validated on a benchmark example system.
