Abstract

Polarimetric radar has shown to be a valuable tool for improving performances on target detection, discrimination and classification through the measurement of the complex target scattering matrix. Dynamic scattering matrix measurement means that elements in polarimetric matrix can be measured simultaneously for high speed non-stationary target, such as missiles. A combined measurement system architecture including both compact polarimetric and simultaneous full polarimetric modes and calibration methods are proposed.
