Abstract

In view of the insufficient support for both TD-LTE and WiMAX bands in the existing antenna design, a dual-band antenna which can work in both TD-LTE (2.6Ghz) and WiMAX (3.5Ghz) bands is designed in this paper. The antenna uses a rectangular patch as the radiation unit and a "7" slot with stepped width on the patch to realize dual-band characteristics. The simulation results are in good agreement with the measured ones. The antenna return loss S11 meets the requirement of less than - 10dB, and the antenna has good radiation direction characteristics in the operating frequency band.
