The place and role of research, development and innovation activities in the life of domestic enterprises along business characteristics

Abstract

Research, development and innovation have long been a theme and a lifeline, but never has its importance been more central than in the 21st century. The changes brought about by a rapidly changing turbulent environment demand new and innovative solutions. All these changes have introduced new concepts such as agility, the importance of change management and even resilience. But innovation initiatives require more than usual the introduction of a project approach to management. The aim of this paper is to shed light on some aspects of project management in RDI projects, highlighting the importance and role of programme and portfolio management based on the results of a questionnaire survey conducted in 2022.
