The sample group of the study consists of 290 physical education sports school students and 299 faculty of education students who studied under Hatay Mustafa Kemal University during the 2018-2019 academic year. In the study, the personal information form for the researchers was used, ‘’respect for opposite approach and audit scale of self-control at the sport’’ developed by Gülle (2018) and ‘‘sport spectator identification scale’’ developed by Wann and Branscombe (1993). Students ' average scores on these two scales; gender, whether or not regular sports, the branch of sports followed, the division of the variables such as the difference in terms of examined. In the calculation of the data obtained SPSS 17 package program was used. It was determined that the data were normally distributed and the independent sample t test from parametric tests and the one-way variance analysis test (ANOVA) and Pearson correlation test were applied. In this study, the level of significance (p) was<0.05.As a result, there was a significant difference between the two sub-dimensions of respect and hate, which are the two sub-dimensions of respect and self-regulation scale, and the variables of gender, whether or not to play regular sports, the branch of sport and division.
