Abstract
A dual circular-polarization modeformer network, designed as a feed for polarimetric-phased-array monopulse antenna systems, has been analyzed using a new, highly portable and vastly expanded version of the general-purpose network scattering analysis program SNAP. The new expanded version of this program is written in Fortran-77 and runs on DEC VAX/VMS 11/780 computers or any similar 32-bit, virtual memory system. The new SNAP version provides unique capabilities suited to the scattering analysis of various types of large-scale phased-array modeformer networks, all having totally different topological configuration and typically including numerous multisection hybrids, phase shifters and auxiliary transmission lines, mutually interconnected in any given way.
